ThermoCal Suite is an affordable system for characterization of hydration processes in cement, concrete, etc. It includes one or two data acquisition modules, a set of thermocouples, Data Logger software and Report Generator software. The software functionality is similar to that of the IsoCal. Version 5 of this package works with one or two Pico Instruments' TC08 data acquisition modules that interface to the computer over USB ports or over COM ports (RS232). The system performs temperature measurements on 8 channels per module, to the total of 16 channels. Logs are saved in Tab-delimited ASCII file format. No hardware for sample preparation is provided (ThermoCal users typically prepare samples in Styrofoam cups with lids).

Main program features:

• Independent configuration and logging of all channels - channels can be configured and activated without interrupting experiments running on other channels;
• "Smart" logging features saves data at fixed time intervals and also whenever any of the measured parameters changes by more than a user-defined threshold - this allows to log more points when signals change and less points when they stay constant;
• Data is saved in the units of temperature (degrees Celsius);
• Channel configuration fields are user-defined (defaults are suggested for cement applications);
• Data files from previous experiments can be loaded into the graph for comparison purposes;
• Charts and channel configuration info can be printed out;
• Ease of use - all instructions are right in program screens;
• User interface is similar to that of IsoCal

ThermoCal Report Generator has capabilities similar to IsoCal Report Generator. Main features:

• Power peak analysis
• Support of batched log processing (up to 8 log files)
• Zoomed graph windows
• Saving screen images as JPG, BMP and PNG image files.
